Builders FirstSource Acquires Western Truss & Components

Builders FirstSource has long pursued growth with a focus on value-added products and services. In that regard, the Dallas-based LBM giant found two suitable acquisitions — Western Truss & Components of Flagstaff, Ariz.; and CRi SoCal, of Orange County California.
Here’s how BFS described its latest acquisitions:
• Western Truss & Components
Founded in 1986, Western Truss & Components has established itself as a trusted roof and floor truss supplier for custom home builders in Flagstaff and all Northern Arizona.
This new location and local leadership team shores up our position as the market leader in Flagstaff and adds capacity to continue our growth in the Sedona, Prescott Valley and Show Low markets.
• CRi SoCal
Founded in 1986, CRi SoCal is a single location dealer and installer of high-end windows and doors in Orange County, CA. This acquisition complements our Dixieline/Builders FirstSource operations, including the recently opened lumber yard and window and door showroom in Dana Point, California, and provides us with more installation capability and opportunities to serve customers throughout Southern California.
In the company’s first quarter-earnings report, Builders FirstSource shared that its company-wide value-added product mix was 52% for the first quarter of 2024, driven by organic growth and a disciplined approach to mergers and acquisitions.
Western Truss & Components and CRi SoCal are the latest to join BFS’s list of acquisitions, which included first quarter additions of Hanson Truss Components Inc. of Olivehurst, California; and Quality Door & Millwork of Idaho Falls, Idaho.
