June 21, 2021: A Small Window to Be Aggressive
Date postedJune 21, 2021
Justin Binning and Ken Timmins with American International Forest Products (AIFP) provide a snapshot of the current lumber market. DIY is cooling off, causing the big boxes to take a tiny step back, and weather has put the brakes on some regional projects. This temporary ease on demand has created some opportunity to find lumber at lower cost, but both Justin and Ken agree this relief will be short-lived and now is the time to be aggressive. Justin has been with AIFP since 2010 with a focus in Southern Yellow Pine and Ken has been with AIFP since 2017, specializing in Fir species. Both specialize in high grade lumber for the component manufacturing industry.
