2025 Dues Letter from

the NFC President
April 28, 2025
On behalf of the National Framers Council (NFC), thank you for being part of our growing organization. Your continued support of this national association helps us develop and share essential resources to the structural framing industry and the entire construction supply chain. I invite you to renew your membership for the coming year and continue your investment in our shared efforts: to improve jobsite safety, elevate the professionalism of every framer, and help framing contractors connect, grow, and succeed in their businesses.
One of the most powerful benefits of NFC membership is the opportunity to connect with peers across the country. Whether it's through roundtable discussions, regional meetings, charity events, networking, or collaborative working groups, these peer-to-peer connections foster an invaluable exchange of ideas, experiences, and solutions. Members often find that some of their greatest insights come not just from NFC resources, but from fellow framers who are facing—and overcoming—the same challenges. These relationships strengthen our community and build a support network that helps every member thrive.
We’re also excited to share that starting in July 2025, FrameSAFE will be included at no additional cost with NFC membership. With this added value, depending on your dues level, members save up to $1,134! Previously available as a separate purchase, this powerful and comprehensive jobsite safety program is now a core benefit for all NFC members. By making FrameSAFE freely available, we’re reinforcing our commitment to jobsite safety and ensuring that every member has easy access to the tools needed to protect their crews and improve workplace practices.
A key focus this year is to continue strengthening the foundation we’ve built while driving deeper engagement across our membership. With the support of a robust Steering Committee, we are expanding our efforts by introducing subcommittees dedicated to key areas such as Marketing, Membership, Products, and Standards.
Our partnership with the Construction Industry Safety Coalition (CISC) is just one example of how we are having a meaningful impact on workplace safety. The CISC is made up of 29 trade associations from all sectors of the construction industry, and focuses heavily on workplace safety and health, with each member committed to helping create safer construction jobsites for workers.
In support of fall prevention, NFC continues to promote an annual Safety Stand-Down week, aligned with OSHA’s National Safety Stand-Down campaign. This initiative encourages framers to engage in Toolbox Talks and make use of safety training materials from FrameSAFE, as well as posters, handouts, and other resources provided by NFC and OSHA. It’s a great way to showcase safety in action and foster a culture of continuous safety improvement.
Throughout 2024, the BCSI Committee dedicated significant effort to updating the Building Component Safety Information (BCSI) – Guide to Good Practice for Handling, Installing, Restraining and Bracing of Structural Building Components, culminating in the release of BCSI-2025 in January 2025. NFC is proud to have played a key role in this process. With several NFC members actively contributing to the committee, the revised edition reflects valuable, real-world input from the jobsite—ensuring that the guidance is practical, relevant, and responsive to the needs of installers on the jobsite. This collaboration ensures the revised guide is not only technically accurate but also practical and relevant to those using it every day, further strengthening NFC’s voice in industry-wide conversations.
Beyond safety, NFC continues to expand outreach and engagement through education and events. Each year, NFC hosts a charity golf tournament which allows attendees to network and enjoy a day of camaraderie on the golf course, with the proceeds from the event going to benefit carpentry education through the SBCA Foundation and Endowment.
Another exciting development in 2024 was the launch of Framing Today, NFC’s official magazine. Debuting in Fall 2024, Framing Today provides valuable insights on framing tips, safety, industry trends, and business strategies tailored specifically for framing contractors. It is a fresh voice dedicated to elevating the framing profession and connecting our nationwide community of framers.
Of course, one of the most valuable parts of your membership is the annual Framer Summit at BCMC. The NFC Framer Summit will be held in Omaha, Nebraska, September 29-October 3, 2025. This premier event includes framer booths integrated onto the BCMC show floor, in addition to targeted education sessions, roundtables, and exclusive networking opportunities. It's an unparalleled opportunity for framing professionals to engage with the latest trends and innovations in the structural framing industry.
The strength of NFC lies in the collective engagement of its members. As we work to establish consistent framing standards and elevate the profession, expanding our network is essential. You know the value of membership—now imagine the impact of more framing professionals and general contractors tapping into the same resources, best practices, and industry insights. By encouraging others to join, you’re not only supporting their growth but also contributing to a stronger, more unified industry that benefits us all. NFC is focused on supporting our members with practical tools and strong advocacy. Our core goals include creating safer workplaces, providing education, offering best practices, and building meaningful relationships.
From updates to FrameSAFE which is now included with your NFC membership to keeping you informed and engaged in all things impacting the structural framing industry through NFC Framing News and NFC’s new magazine, Framing Today, we continue to increase the value of the organization to the framing industry. All of this is made possible through partnership with the Structural Building Components Association (SBCA). We continue to work closely together to expand opportunities for both framers and component manufacturers to collaborate and succeed together in the market.
Sincerely,
Pedro Loureiro
2025 NFC President
