Forest City Trading Group Acquires Affiliated Resources

Forest City Trading Group (FCTG) acquired the assets of Affiliated Resources, a manufacturing, marketing, sales, and distribution company specializing in the design, production, and sales of proprietary branded wood, steel, and plastic products. Affiliated Resources serves original equipment manufacturing, agricultures, and industrial end user businesses. FCTG said Mike Wilkins, the founder of Affiliated Resources, will remain with the company as president.

“We’re excited to welcome Affiliated Resources into the Forest City family of companies,” Craig Johnston, CEO of FCTG, said in a prepared statement. “This acquisition allows us to continue to diversify our portfolio into value-added industrial branded products and offer more services and growth into their multiple business segments.”

FCTG is composed of 13 companies that are within the building products industry and forge strategic connections between customers and suppliers. The transaction is expected to close at the end of August.
