The developer of the JAX The Wood Retriever, KEPM LLC, is excited to announce a strategic partnership with Q4US, a leading software solution development firm specializing in the component manufacturing industry. This collaboration aims to significantly enhance the JAX Universal Compiler (JAX-UC) software, which will be demonstrated at the Building Component Manufacturer’s Conference (BCMC) on October 9-10 in Milwaukee. The current version of JAX-UC accepts most design software output files and sends optimized cutting files to multiple linear and/or component saws. Q4US is engaged in upgrading JAX-UC’s usability and versatility while ensuring its compliance with ISO software quality and security standards.
The JAX-UC software platform enables the JAX The Wood Retriever to serve as a single source of supply for up to three saws, while picking from up to 33 bunks of lumber. JAX can pick and transport from one to thirteen boards at a time, from one or two layers of a lumber bunk. Combined with its companion Tugger, a powered pallet jack, JAX minimizes manual labor and forklift handling, lowering the risk of accidents and injuries. JAX has been extensively tested with Southern Pine lumber and has been commercially proven at Rafters + Walls, a prominent truss builder in the Charlotte, North Carolina market.
JAX-UC presents an intuitive interface tailored for sawyers and shop managers, simplifying operations and maximizing productivity. BCMC attendees will be able to see an exclusive preview and interact with JAX-UC at Booth 1026 on the show floor and view the operation of the JAX The Wood Retriever. Attendees can also visit Booth 1000 to meet the Q4US team, discuss JAX-UC, and learn more about Q4US’s software development expertise in the component manufacturing industry.
“Partnering with Q4US is a game-changer for us,” said Richard Pedde of KEPM LLC. “Their expertise in custom software development and their deep industry knowledge makes them the perfect partner to help us bring the JAX The Wood Retriever to the next level. This partnership is a key step in our commitment to delivering innovative, safe, and efficient solutions to the lumber and component manufacturing industries.”
Q4US, known for its customer-centric approach and tailored software solutions, is equally enthusiastic about the collaboration. “We are thrilled to work with KEPM LLC on this groundbreaking project,” said Sandun Dasanayake, CEO of Q4US. “JAX The Wood Retriever is a revolutionary product, and we are eager to contribute our software development expertise to enhance its functionality and performance.
