Negotiation Strategies for Framers After Contract Review
Recorded Tuesday, June 22, 2021
Framing contractors can no longer simply sign comprehensive subcontract agreements with their general contractor customers without a complete review and active negotiation. There are far too many problematic provisions that exist in most subcontract agreements including with regard to scope of work, payment, lump-sum and fixed pricing, indemnity, and insurance requirements. Thus, subcontracts must first be reviewed. And negotiating strategies must be deployed. The upcoming seminar, Negotiation Strategies for Framers After Subcontract Review, will outline many suggested ways to successfully negotiate these otherwise one-sided provisions. Kent Pagel, with Pagel | Davis | Hill, industry counsel for SBCA and NFC, will outline the many strategies that ought to be considered by each framing contractor.
