SBCA is excited to announce the launch of its new Education and Training content in the SBCA Academy! These updates are designed to make learning more accessible, interactive, and engaging for all users, while maintaining the features and functionality you’ve come to rely on. This new content will be available beginning Friday, January 31, 2025

What’s New?

  • There are now two Learning Paths: Education and Training micro-learning modules and pathways.
  • The Education Path hosts free, accessible modules with customizable learning pathways.
  • The Training Path hosts updated courses that are formatted as interactive micro-learnings.
  • Employees can now self-enroll in the free Education modules and pathways.
  • Pathways are conveniently accessible on any device anytime, anywhere.

As part of this new content, SBCA is excited to share that the TATO 1 is now FREE for all SBCA Members. Furthermore, Truss Manufacturing Orientation (TMO) is free for all SBCA Academy Users and has been completely reimagined. Now called Component Manufacturing Introduction, it functions as a series of linked modules that are part of a learning pathway.

What will Remain the Same?

  • Login and access to Training courses – if you are a current user, your login credentials remain the same.
  • The layout and design of the Academy is still the user-friendly platform hosting great SBCA Academy content.
  • Company Managers maintain the ability to enroll employees and track their progress across both Training and the new Education Path, but employees now have the option to self-enroll in the free education programs.

Current Users: If you are already enrolled in an existing course, your progress is safe! We recommend completing any course you have in progress in its current format. While the content in the new version is the same, the format and module progression is different. You will have access to the current course until June 30, 2025, at which point the course will need to be completed. After this date, all users will transition to the updated content to complete their course(s) in the new Training Path.

We’re confident these updates will enhance your learning experience, providing streamlined content and improved accessibility. If you have any questions, please contact SBCA’s Director of Education, Ashley Baker, at academy@sbcacomponents.com.

Stay tuned for additional communication regarding details for accessing the new content on SBCA Academy.
