SBCA Academy Launches New Education and Training Content

SBCA’s all-new Education and Training is here! Newly redesigned programs are now available in the SBCA Academy offering a more flexible, accessible, and engaging learning experience. Whether you’re looking to build a foundational industry knowledge or develop a specialized skill, these new offerings were created with the learner in mind to support growth and success. 

More Control Over Your Learning 

One of the biggest improvements to this new content is the ability to choose your own learning experience. The academy now offers short, focused modules that can be taken individually to cover specific topics or as part of a structured Educational Pathway for a more guided experience. These pathways can be linked to create a comprehensive overview of numerous industry tropics. This approach allows learners to tackle material at their own pace and focus on areas of interest. This also allows those who are connected to the industry but not necessarily directly associated with component manufacturing to learn about a variety of topics that will improve their understanding of our industry. Educating those who have a connection to component manufacturing improves the industry as a whole.

What’s even better is the fact that the Education track is completely free with an SBCA Academy account! Current users can find the updated content in the Education Catalog on the dashboard in their account. New users can sign up for an account with their email address at academy.sbcacomponents.com. 

Streamlined Training 

The popular Training courses you have come to rely on have also been refreshed. Instead of long, time-consuming videos, training content is now structured in micro-learning modules. These short, interactive lessons are designed to deliver high-level industry concepts quickly and effectively, allowing learners to retain information more easily. These modules can be used as an on-the-job guide as well; the format allows for easy navigation to refresh a topic or get an answer to a question quickly and easily.  

Learn Anywhere, Anytime 

Another major improvement is greater accessibility. SBCA Academy can now be accessed from any device anytime, anywhere. This means employees can fit learning into their schedules whenever convenient. Employees can self-enroll in the free education modules or pathways, while Training is available for purchase and requires a manager to enroll employees. Managers continue to have the ability to track progress and customize Education and Training for their teams.  

Seamless Transition for Current Users 

For those already enrolled in the SBCA Academy, the transition to the new system will be smooth. Courses in the previous video format will remain available until June 30, 2025, giving learners plenty of time to complete their training. As always, course progress is saved in the Academy. After June 30, all users will be transitioned to the new Training format.
