On September 6, Simpson Strong-Tie, the leader in engineered structural connectors and building solutions, hosted ribbon-cutting ceremonies for its newest warehouse and distribution centre, located in Calgary, Alberta. Part of a strategic investment to increase Simpson Strong-Tie’s overall distribution footprint in North America, the new facility will significantly expand the range of products available for next-day delivery across the Prairie provinces.

The Calgary distribution warehouse will inventory roughly 1,300 SKUs of Simpson Strong-Tie products, including a wide variety of our most popular options for residential and commercial construction.

“This new location, in combination with our manufacturing facilities in Brampton, Ontario, and Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, will provide greater access to our products and solutions by offering a wide variety of inventory closer to our customers in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba,” said David Wilson, Simpson Strong-Tie Vice President-Canada. “Simpson Strong-Tie is committed to offering next-day service to our customers throughout Canada, and having this warehouse in Calgary moves us another big step closer to that goal.”

As supply chain woes have continued to impact building product and material availability for construction projects, Simpson Strong-Tie is investing heavily to grow its already robust North American manufacturing and distribution presence. This warehouse grand opening in Calgary comes on the heels of other strategically placed product warehouse facilities in North America opened this past year in Seattle, Denver and Salt Lake City. In 2025, Simpson Strong-Tie is planning to open several other warehouse facilities in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Mobile, Alabama, as well as to upgrade and build out new manufacturing and distribution centres in Columbus, Ohio, and Gallatin, Tennessee.
