Local chapters provide the opportunity for everyone associated with the structural component industry to participate and shape the future of the industry. SBCA staff is dedicated to supporting our Chapters throughout the planning and execution of their meetings, including a variety of content offering for meetings.
A handful of Chapters have been “inactive” over the past few years and SBCA is excited to reignite those Chapters in the upcoming weeks. Talia Zanotelli , SBCA Membership Coordinator, has scheduled a virtual Chapter meeting for each of the currently inactive Chapters and anyone who conducts business within that Chapter’s geographic area and interested in participating in future Chapter efforts is encouraged to attend. Each virtual meeting will give interested parties the opportunity to engage as a group to discuss future planning and scheduling.
If you are interested in attending any of the following Chapter meetings, please select the link below and register online for the event:

Per SBCA’s Uniform Chapter Bylaws, a Chapter qualifies as inactive if “at any point it has not held a meeting of the Chapter Members and Chapter Board within the prior calendar year.” As a result, a Chapter is deemed inactive is subject to termination by a vote of the SBCA Board of Directors. If terminated, a Chapter can no longer schedule meeting or other activities, governance matters will cease, and Chapter funds will revert to the ownership and control of SBCA.
Moving forward, as each Chapter plans additional meetings, SBCA staff is ready to help ensure they’re a success! It’s as easy as submitting the “ Schedule a Chapter Meeting Form ” and providing a few details about when and where you’d like to hold the meeting. And, if you’re looking for a way to round out a meeting, your Chapter can choose one of SBCA’s current educational offerings which include:
- Home Innovation Research Labs Data
- Digital QC Demos
- SBCA Products & Services Presentation
- SBCA Update
- Or, bring your own idea and we can work together on a presentation!
