Taylor Pedigo
SBCA is glad to share its newest addition to the staff team, Taylor Pedigo, Event Coordinator. Taylor will be working with SBCA Director of Events, Ali Saladin-Valerio, helping to put on SBCA’s various events throughout the year from OQMs and BCMC to Quality Bootcamps and other ancillary events.
As SBCA’s Event Coordinator, Taylor is excited to work with large-scale conferences, and hopes to build strong relationships with members, industry partners, and vendors all while growing within SBCA to make a lasting impact on future event success. She is excited to work with SBCA staff and members and the unique opportunities the association work brings and engaging with industry professionals who are deeply invested in and passionate about their field.
“I am very excited to have Taylor join our team,” says Ali Saladin-Valerio, SBCA Director of Events. “She brings a lot of good experience with her and has already shown great promise. I look forward to seeing her progress and introducing her to our members!”
With previous event experience, Taylor is passionate about event planning and the challenges of organizing well-executed and seamless events. She has previously held the roles of Event Coordinator at the Denver Zoo, where she planned events ranging from small business meetings to full zoo-wide buyouts for over 5,000 people, and Event and Scholarship Coordinator at The University of Alabama for the College of Communication and Information Science, where she focused on student and alumni events and engagement, such as alumni dinners, special event days, graduation celebrations, and their Hall of Fame.
“Taylor has really great experience and I’m ecstatic for her expertise to shine at SBCA,” says Nikki Hilton, SBCA Executive Assistant. “She has the knowledge and the know-how to make an impact at future SBCA industry events and I’m excited to see what’s next with her help.”
Taylor holds a BS in Animal Science with an emphasis on Livestock and a BS in Wildlife Conservation, both from Virginia Tech. Outside of work, Taylor likes hiking, reading, skiing, paddleboarding, and camping; she has an orange cat named Cheddar that she likes to take on walks. Taylor also spent the last year living the van-life and traveling around New Zealand. Taylor can be reached at tpedigo@sbcacomponents.com.
