Josh Hendrickson

Josh Hendrickson is a Chapter Representative of the SBCA Board of Directors; he has been involved with the association since March of 2017, when he attended his first Open Quarterly Meeting (OQM). Josh initially became involved with SBCA through his local chapter, and eventually decided to attend some of the association’s meetings. He soon became involved in various committees, serving on SBCA’s Management Committee and Governance Committee, and is also the president of the SBCA Chapter, Alabama Component Manufacturers Association.

Like most in this industry, Josh believes it is the people that make it what it is. For him, that is one of his favorite parts about this industry – he has not been a part of anything else where people genuinely care about the success of other people and have a willingness to help however they can. As a member of the SBCA Board of Directors, Josh’s goal is to continue helping with committees and the association in any way the organization can use him.

As the go-getter and driven person that he is, Josh started his own landscaping business in order to pay for undergraduate school; as he was finishing up his degree and figuring out his career, he closed up shop and found a classified ad for a position at a local lumber company. He decided to take a chance in their outside sales and has been in the industry ever since. Through the years, he has worked in various sales roles at multiple companies, including Outside Sales, Truss Sales Manager, Commercial Sales Manager, and VP of Sales and Marketing with Wilson Lumber, and most recently his promotion to President of Wilson Lumber. He has been with Wilson Lumber for 15 years and in his current role as President oversees the organization’s day-to-day operations and ensures that the strategic goals are met. Interestingly, during Josh’s career, he had a side business doing large remodels, which helped him understand what the builders encounter daily and how this industry can support their business to make them more successful.

Josh earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Faulkner University in Huntsville, AL; additionally, he serves on the C12 Board of Directors, is a licensed homebuilder, an NAHB Certified Green Professional, and has completed the Dale Carnegie Course in 2019. Outside of work, Josh enjoys cooking, spending time outdoors and playing golf, but overall loves to spend time with his family the most. Josh can be reached at info@sbcacomponents.com.
