Editor’s Note: In addition to the appointment of Jesse Sites as president of True House, a position vacated by SBCA Hall of Famer and past president Barry Dixon, this article also announces the departure of another SBCA Hall of Famer and past president, Jim Finkenhoefer. SBCA would like to extend a note of congratulations to both of these extraordinary gentlemen, thank them for their considerable contributions to the industry and association over many years, and wish them continued success in their next adventures.
True House Inc. is pleased to announce that Jesse Sites was named President of the company on June 12, 2023.
A third generation member of the Dixon family business, Sites started with True House in 1992 as a Truss Builder. Over the course of his 30+ years with the company he worked his way up to his current position as SVP of Manufacturing and Operations in which he oversees True House’s two locations in Jacksonville and Crescent City, Florida.
“Jesse has a true passion for this business and for doing the right thing,” says Barry Dixon, CEO and previous President of True House. “Not only is he a member of our family, he treats everyone in the company like family as well. He’s a behind-the-scenes kind of guy who works hard to get the job done while elevating the people around him, a true example of a servant leader. It makes me proud to hand these reins off to him.”
During his tenure with True House, Sites has worked in every facet of the company – from production to truss design and engineering to sales and scheduling. While valuable in many areas along the way, Dixon says Sites found his real niche when he became Facility Manager of the Jacksonville plant, where he was the first manager to improve production to a consistent new daily record.
“Jesse is always innovating and looking for new ways of doing things,” says Dixon. “And it’s not just with technology but in his interactions and connections with others. He’s always challenging his teams to improve what they do and continue building on their success, which has resulted in a very well-oiled machine.”
Sites says he is “not a title guy” but looks forward to playing a role in the continued success of the company. “This well-oiled machine is because of two things,” he says, “our teams and continuous improvement.”
Farewell to Finkenhoefer
Another transition at True House this week is the departure of Jim Finkenhoefer, VP of Business Development and Sales, who has been with the company since 2014.
“Jim is a life-long friend who has been an incredible asset to our company,” says Dixon. “We wish him well as he rounds out a successful career in his hometown, allowing him more time with his wife, Patti, and his kids and grandkids.”
“True House has always supported and celebrated our employees as they move up, and sometimes through, our company to reach their full potential,” Dixon explains. “While it’s sad to see Jim go, I know our collaboration will continue as we both work to move this industry forward.”
