Hertford, who previously served as Vice President of Operations at Miller Lumber, will assume the president role on Nov. 16. He brings a wealth of industry expertise and a proven track record in various leadership roles. He will now oversee the strategic direction and operations of Miller Lumber, following the retirement of Charley Miller, the current president.
“I am honored to take on the role of president at Miller Lumber and build on the legacy left by Charley,” said Hertford. “This is a very exciting time for our business as we continue to build our production and sales capabilities and further establish our leadership role in our local communities.”
Charley Miller’s dedicated leadership significantly contributed to the growth and success of Miller Lumber, establishing it as a trusted provider of building materials in the Bend, Oregon area. Kodiak expresses deep appreciation for Miller’s years of service and guidance.
In another significant promotion, Scott Peacock, the current general manager at Albeni Falls Building Supply, has been promoted to president of the company. Peacock’s extensive industry knowledge and exceptional leadership skills will be instrumental in leading Albeni Falls to new heights, focusing on excellence, customer satisfaction, and growth.
“I am honored and excited to take on the role of president at Albeni Falls. This is an incredible opportunity to further enhance our service offerings, strengthen our relationships with customers, and drive growth within the lumber and building materials industry,” stated Peacock. Kodiak commends both Hertford and Peacock for their exceptional contributions and leadership within the general lumber sector.
“Both Willies’ and Scott’s knowledge and expertise in our business is matched by their deep commitment to the people of Miller Lumber and Albeni Falls,” said Kelly Fox, Senior Vice President of General Lumber, Northwest at Kodiak. “They both embody our foundational values of family, community, and service,” Fox continued. “We look forward to working with them in these expanded roles as they champion continued growth for their teams and economic growth for their local communities and their companies.”
These leadership changes mark an exciting phase in the development of Miller Lumber and Albeni Falls, as they align with Kodiak’s ongoing commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and unparalleled customer service.
